Sam was born on Thursday Island QLD and raised in Darwin NT.  Her Aboriginal heritage is from Wuthathi country, Cape York and her Asian ancestry is from Ambon in Indonesia.  Samantha and her family relocated to Melbourne last year from Townsville QLD.  She has spent the past 20 years moving around Australia with her husband as he was a Soldier in the Australian Army.

Prior to working with Aboriginal Housing Victoria, Sam has over 10 years experience with working within the Community Services sector, having worked for Camp Quality a national children’s charity that support children and their families living with cancer and for various local government departments including working as the Sister Cities Project Officer for the City of Darwin.

Samantha currently works as a Life Coach and is the Team Leader Wellbeing Programs for Aboriginal Housing Victoria.   Sam was engaged as part of the “More Than A Landlord” project in March 2017.  As a Life Coach she supports Aboriginal Housing Victoria tenants to identify and set goals for themselves and their families.   Providing them with the tools to empower and motivate themselves as they identify their life goals and aspirations, and help them achieve these.

Sam is passionate about working with our mob to navigate their way though this journey we call life and the challenges that face us along the way.   She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
