Philippa HarrisPhilippa is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with over 30 years experience in acute, rehabilitation andcommunity mental health settings in both the United Kingdom and Australia.

She is currently the Manager of Education and Training Services with the Mental Illness FellowshipNorth Queensland and has many years experience developing and providing innovative mentalhealth and housing programs across North Queensland.

Philippa is presently a:

  • Master Presenter for Adult, Youth and E-Learning Mental Health First Aid programs
  • Facilitator and National Trainer for Mental Illness Fellowship Australia’s Well Ways family education suite of programs
  • State Trainer for Mental Illness Education Australia (Queensland) High Schools program

She has delivered the Mental Health First Aid course extensively and conveys the content in a way that is particularly useful to frontline workers.

Philippa’s extensive contributions to mental health have been acknowledged with the following awards:

    Health for Help for Rural Women Caregivers of the Mentally Ill Program - Model of Good Practice
