Samson Knight

Recommend Samson:

Sam has a background in strategic program management on programs with a strong overlap between the public, private and not for profit sectors.

His first major project involved setting up an organisation to manage the fundraising and logistics of his project to row alone across the Atlantic Ocean whilst raising finances and awareness for Leukaemia research. Following this project he trained as a management consultant in London before spending 6 years working on the delivery of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, beginning with the production of the organisation wide delivery plan and then working on various programs from Games wide testing through to recruitment of staff & volunteers.

He moved to Perth in 2013 to be closer to family and worked as initially as Group Manager of Strategy at Silver Chain.  While looking at the community health sector, research into the social determinants of health and a strong interest in the overlaps between mental health, primary health and homelessness lead him to a role at Ruah Community services where he currently leads the housing and homelessness teams. At RUAH he has been lucky enough to be part of the 50 lives 50 homes collaboration, and the Australian Alliance to End Homelessness.
