Sue Phillips

Sue is General Manager Community Services with Junction Australia.

Sue is a Social Worker with oversight of the delivery of 28 separate services within Junction Australia. These services are targeted at disadvantaged and marginalised communities across a number of South Australian regions. Sue has extensive experience in the field of community development through her time in Local Government, working with disadvantaged communities in the south to help them identify their aspirations and work towards achieving those. She has worked with both ‘place based’ communities and communities of common interest to develop and deliver community based programs.

Prior to commencing with Junction Australia in 2010, Sue spent 16 years working in Local Government in the Cities of Mitcham, Marion and Onkaparinga. During that time her work included running a community centre, working with volunteers, facilitating community groups and working with the Domestic Violence sector and Aboriginal communities, prior to moving into leadership positions within Local Government.

In addition to this she has worked for the University of SA and Flinders University guest lecturing and tutoring in the Community Development field.
