Recommend Robert:

Bob Hardie is currently employed as the Senior Advisor for the Otautahi Community Housing Trust which is in the process of taking over the tenancy management of the Christchurch City Council social housing portfolio consisting of 2303 social housing units.

Bob initially had a 30-year career in the New Zealand Police, stationed mainly in Christchurch.   For the majority of his time in the Police Bob was a front line supervisor in the Criminal Investigation Branch.

Leaving the Police in 1997 Bob ventured into food manufacturing and ran a company supplying products nationwide.  When this business was sold in 2005 social housing beckoned and a career started for a second time.   Initially a Tenancy Manager with Housing New Zealand he subsequently took on the role as Area Manager at the Christchurch Linwood office.   The Linwood office was at the heart of the destructive earthquakes supporting and comforting over 3500 social housing tenants.

Bob accepted a role as the Operations Manager with the Christchurch City Council Social Housing Unit in 2014.    For the last two and half years he has focussed the portfolio on tenant engagement improving the lives of the most vulnerable people in Christchurch.   Bob specialises in tenant risk management and health and safety.   He is a member of the Canterbury Health in All Policies (CHiAP) committee and a Trustee of the White Wings Trust supporting elderly men with mental health issues.
