Paul Vevers

Paul Vevers is a Deputy Secretary in the Department of Family and Community Services responsible for all FACS’ services in half of the State of NSW and has responsibility for Housing Services across the State.  He has worked in the United Kingdom and Australia. His career in the NSW Government began in 2000 as the General Manager (Housing) for Northern NSW followed by the same role in for Central Sydney and then Executive Director of Housing Services.  In 2014 he was appointed Deputy Secretary, Southern and Western Cluster of Districts and Housing Services.

The FACS Districts which Paul manages provide services relating to child protection, children in out-of-home care, homelessness and people in housing need. He also has state-wide responsibility for operational policy in public housing and for a program to transfer 14,000 public housing properties to the management of community housing providers.

Prior to his time in NSW, Paul worked as a Consultant for Fujitsu and was responsible for managing their government clients. He started his career in London as frontline child protection worker.
